Contract #2019-02 S. Main Street Sidewalk Extension

CONTRACT #2019-02 S. MAIN STREET SIDEWALK EXTENSION FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CITY OF MONROE, OHIO Sealed bids will be received by the City of Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050, until two (2:00) o'clock P.M., local time, on Thursday, January 31st, 2019, at which time the bids will be opened for the construction of the following: A proposed extension of the existing sidewalk on S. Main Street from Lebanon Street to the entrance of Monroe Community Park. This project consists of a proposed eight foot (8') multi-use, concrete path including curb and gutter, curb ramps, residential and commercial drive aprons, street lights, segmental block retaining wall, asphalt repair and paving, minor storm and sanitary sewer work, and landscaping. The work shall commence within 30 calendar days of the acceptance of the contract proposal. The Contract Documents, including Project Specifications, are available for pick up at Minuteman Press Hamilton, 223 Court Street, Hamilton, OH 45011, Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100 NON-REFUNDABLE) for each set of plans and specifications. Checks shall be made payable to the "City of Monroe". Contact Jordan Parker at parkerj@monroeohio.org with any questions. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly identified with the bidder's name, contract number, bid-opening date and a statement that it is a sealed bid covering the services for which the bid is submitted. Bids shall be addressed to the Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Monroe, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any, and all, proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the City of Monroe, Ohio.
