Contract #2019-04 Pavement Resurfacing for Department of Public

CONTRACT #2019-04 PAVEMENT RESURFACING FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CITY OF MONROE, OHIO Sealed bids will be received by the City of Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050, until ten (10:00) o'clock A.M., local time, on Friday, September 20th, 2019, at which time the bids will be opened for the construction of the following: Pavement resurfacing for the following streets: Salzman Road (State Route 63 south to new pavement), Westheimer Drive, Wright Drive and Edison Drive. The project will consist of deep milling and base repairs along with varying mills of 1-1/4" to 2" in areas, 1" leveling course and 1-1/2" surface course. Trackless tack shall be used prior to intermediate and surface course placement. This project will also include pavement striping for Salzman Road (State Route 63 south to new pavement). No road closures will be permitted during this project. The work shall commence within 30 calendar days of the acceptance of the contract proposal. The Contract Documents, including Project Specifications, are available for pick up at the Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050 Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a fee of Fifty Dollars ($50 NON-REFUNDABLE) for each set of specifications. Checks shall be made payable to the "City of Monroe". Contact Jordan Parker at parkerj@monroeohio.org with any questions. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, properly identified with the bidder's name, Contract number, bid opening date and a statement that it is a sealed bid covering the services for which the bid is¬ submitted. Bids shall be addressed to the Monroe Department of Public Works, 1000 Holman Avenue, Monroe, Ohio 45050. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Monroe, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the City of Monroe, Ohio.
