LEGAL NOTICE OF CITY OF HAMILTON, OHIO 19-09 Refurbish 4 Clarifier Reactor Basins Sealed bids will be received by the City of Hamilton, Ohio ("Owner"), 345 High Street, Suite 730, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011, until 2:00Pm local time, on May 15, 2019, and bids will be opened publicly and read immediately thereafter for furnishing of all necessary permits, labor, material, and services necessary for: 19-09 Refurbish 4 Clarifier Reactor Basins (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Contract Documents. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). In general, the improvements for which bids are requested will consist of the following: There are 4 Clarifier Reactor Basins (CRB) at the south water plant. Recently all 4 CRB are experiencing the same problem; excessive wear on the scraper, hood assembly drive mechanism, and deformation of the metal track. These contain roller assemblies and tracks causing binding and dragging, leading to motor overload and tripping. This contract involves providing equipment, labor, specific materials necessary to overhaul the scraper and hood assembly drive mechanism back to fully functional and safe running condition. The clarifier tanks are located at the City of Hamilton, Water Production Facility, OH, 5140 River Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Notice is also posted on the City's web site, www.hamilton-city.org click on Services then Bids & Quotes, or by query directly at www.demandstar. com. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from Minuteman Press, 223 Court Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 for a fee of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00 Non-Refundable) for each set of documents. Contract Documents may be reviewed without charge during business hours at the following locations: City of Hamilton Purchasing Division, Suite 730, 345 High Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is a prevailing wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s).
