Notice to Bidders 2019 Sidewalk Repair Project Notice

NOTICE TO BIDDERS 2019 Sidewalk Repair Project Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Franklin, Ohio, until May 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., for the furnishing of labor and materials required for the repair and/or replacement of concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons along various City streets, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Specifications and Plans included with the bid packets. Bidders interested in bidding on this Project must obtain a bid packet directly from the City. Bid packets may be picked up at the City Administration Building, 1 Benjamin Franklin Way, Franklin, OH 45005, (937) 746-9921, upon a nonrefundable deposit of $25.00. Bid packets requested to be sent by mail will be an additional $10.00 per packet. Bids shall be delivered to the same address and the outside of the sealed Bid shall be clearly marked with "City of Franklin 2019 Sidewalk Repair Project." Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: replacement of approximately 11,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk and driveway aprons along various City streets located east of Riley Blvd., south of 4th St., as directed by the City Engineer, and in accordance with the Specifications, Plans and Conditions included in the bid packets. Bids are to be submitted on a per unit basis and are to be for complete work (including the furnishing of all necessary barricades and other traffic control devices). The estimated cost for the Project will not exceed $130,000. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Franklin, in the sum of at least 10% of the bid. The Bid Guaranty shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions contained in ORC Chapter 4115, governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on this Project, and also to ORC 153.59 regarding nondiscrimination. The City of Franklin reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids.
