Notice of 30 Day Public Comment Period

NOTICE OF 30 DAY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD'S DRAFT CONSOLIDATED PLAN ACTION PLAN FOR 2019 The City has prepared the Consolidated Plan ACTION PLAN for the 2019 Program Year that will be available for public review to solicit citizen comments and concerns. The 30-Day Public Comment Period will begin on TUESDAY, February 26, 2019 and end on WEDNESDAY, March 27, 2019 The Action Plan contains information on the City's plans to address the Housing and Community Development needs delineated in the Consolidated Plan 2015 - 2019 and outlines the resources and strategies to address those needs for the 2019 Program Year. The Action Plan covers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program, and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) and details how those programs' funds will be spent for the 2019 Program Year starting on April 1, 2019 and continuing through March 31, 2020. It also describes available resources that will be used and provides the City's one-year strategy to increase the supply of decent safe and affordable housing in Springfield and address other community development needs.
