Notice of Mayoral Proclamation and Executive Order Effective

NOTICE OF MAYORAL PROCLAMATION AND EXECUTIVE ORDER EFFECTIVE MARCH 16, 2020 In an effort to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, City of Springfield Mayor Warren R. Copeland issued a Mayoral Proclamation and Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency beginning March 16, 2020, through April 16, 2020, as authorized by the City of Springfield Codified Ordinance Section 115.01, and may be extended at any time if public health conditions so warrant. Operations of the city are addressed in the order. On March 24, 2020, Mayor Copeland issued Amendment 1 to the Mayoral Proclamation and Executive Order further addressing the operations of the city and staff authority. The entire Executive Order and Amendment 1 are both available on the city's website at, and the originals are signed and filed in the City Clerk's Office.
