NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURPOSE: PUBLIC HEARING FY 2020 CDBG Program DATE: March 5, 2020 TIME: 1:30 P.M. LOCATION: 3130 East Main Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505 Springview Government Center (Room 151) Clark County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency, Office of Community Development, for funding under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, a federally funded program administered by the State of Ohio. Clark County is expected to receive approximately $200,000 of Fiscal Year 2020 CDBG funding under the Allocation Program as well as competitive set-aside Neighborhood Revitalization and Downtown Revitalization Programs and the open-cycle Critical Infrastructure Program, providing the County meets applicable program requirements. The Public Hearings will be held March 5, 2020 at 1:30 P.M. in the Springview Government Center, Room 151, 3130 E. Main Street, Springfield, Ohio, to provide citizens and local government leaders with pertinent information about the CDBG Allocation Program as well as competitive set-aside Neighborhood Revitalization and Downtown Revitalization Programs and the open-cycle Critical Infrastructure Program including an explanation of eligible activities and program requirements. The programs can fund a broad range of activities, including: economic development projects; street, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements; park acquisition and improvements; demolition of unsafe structures; rehabilitation of housing; planning activities and neighborhood facilities. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low and moderate income persons or aid in the prevention or elimination of slums and blight. All CDBG FY2020 projects funded by the Clark County Commissioners must be physically located within Clark County and outside the city limits of Springfield. Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on March 5, 2020, to provide input on the County's Community Development programs.
