Public Notice of Availability OFFY2018 Consolidated Annual Performance

Public Notice of Availability ofFY2018 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) Montgomery County, Ohio, has completed its FY2018 Program Year for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Montgomery County is preparing its Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER is an annual report that outlines the program year's accomplishments. The report covers the period of October 1, 2018-September 30, 2019, with the County receiving $1,934,057 in CDBG, $1,088,087 in HOME, and $155,438 in ESG, for a total of $3,177,582. A minimum of 70% of CDBG must be used for activities that benefit low and moderate income persons, and all HOME funds must benefit those households at 80% or less of area median income. Activities carried out during the program year included housing rehabilitation, infrastructure improvements, removal of handicapped accessibility barriers, park improvements, demolition, business retention, microenterprise assistance, fair housing, homelessness prevention, job training, and program administration. The draft CAPER will be available for review and public comment from October 30, 2019-November 15, 2019. Comments should be submitted to Business Services-Community & Economic Development (BS-CED), P.O. Box 972, Dayton, OH 45422 or by email to jonest@mcohio.org. A public hearing will be held on November 19, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in the CED Conference Room. Copies of the draft CAPER will be available for public examination at BS-CED during normal business hours. The report will also be posted on the County's website at www.selectmcohio.com/community-developmentwww.selectmcohio.com/community-development.com The performance report will be submitted to HUD by December 20, 2019. Any public comments received during the comment period will be included in the final report.
